‘Something Flipped A Switch In My Head When I Saw That Mother And Daughter Fey… I Just… Couldn’t… Do It
But That Shadar Kai Soldier Payed Me For The Task, Which Means I’m A Fugitive…
My Time In The Dark Enchanted Forest Of Eldwyll Is Over…
I Decided To Head East To Gloomwrought.
From There I’d Need To Figure Out A Plan… A Plan To Leave The Shadowfell… But To Where
The Path From Eldwyll To Gloomwrought Would Be A Two Day Journey…
And Though The Planes Of Shadowfell Our Covered With The Undead, My Abilities Of Remaining Mainly Hidden, Should Protect Me

NIGHTINGALE

CHAPTER I – Shadowfell
DEEP WITHIN THE DARK ENCHANTED FOREST OF ELDWYLL
50 MILES WEST OF GLOOMWROUGHT
WITHIN THE PLANE OF SHADOWFELL
A young (Well, young for Elves) Grey Elf girl sits high in the branches of a dark twisted tree…
Her hair a light grey, her skin grey as well, but a bit darker, and her eyes a dark, dark blue
Clad in a long dark blue cape and hood, her father’s finely crafted longbow upon her back…
…she is a Gloom Stalker… A… Ranger
She waits
The night and forest is dark, save the blue light cast upon the glades, like the one before her
She waits for the familiar clanging sound of gold against gold, within a pouch, upon the waist of the Shadar Kai Soldier whom comes to her
‘CLANG CLANG CLANG’
He arrives, three other soldiers behind him…
He steps into the glade alone, peering slightly to the bent and twisted trees around him, knowing he will not see what he seeks
Suddenly, the Ranger known as ‘Nightingale’ drops to the ground below soundlessly, and makes her way into the glade
He smirks upon seeing her familiar form, then tosses the pouch of gold upon his waste before her
She kneels and picks it up
‘They’ll be here soon… Twice the normal amount,’ he speaks as she peers into the pouch, then turns and disappears back into the shadows of the Enchanted Forest

Several hours pass as she waits at the crossing…
…where the Fey Land meets the Shadowfell
Suddenly a bright-ish pink, purple and green glow approaches from the path…
…Nightingale draws back her bow, and says a few words to the moon goddess Selune under her breath, ‘Let me strike true, oh Salune.’
Before her appears a Fey woman…
…in her arms, a young winged child who appears scared
Nightingale winces
‘What’s This’
She thinks to herself
But the mother Fey senses her in the tree…
…’Impossible,’ Nightingale says lightly without thinking, then drops to the ground before them.
She pulls back her bow once more
The mother’s eyes widen, as she turns attempting to protect her…
…daughter
Nightingale then lowers her bow, and tosses the pouch of gold on the ground before the Fey mother, ‘Here… You’ll need it…’ she says in Sylvan, the native tongue of the Fey
The Fey is surprised, uncurling her child, then dips down to capture the pouch
‘I don’t know what to say,’ the Fey replies also in Sylvan
‘Go… There are Sharar Kai soldiers about… Leave!’ Nightingale spats at her
The Fey mother smiles, squeezes her child, then quickly makes her way into the forest
